Donors work with the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation to create lasting endowments. Each component fund serves a special purpose and we have the flexibility to customize funds to meet virtually any donor intent. A Donor Advised Fund allows maximum involvement on the part of the donor and others who may serve as advisors, while a Designated Fund simply names one or more charities as the beneficiary.
Agency Funds are established by nonprofit organizations to support their own operations, and Scholarship Funds can be crafted to support a specific field of study, a particular school or university, or a student of limited financial resources. Unrestricted Funds can tackle the most pressing needs in the community, and Field-of-Interest Funds are created to provide grants to a wide range of programs, from youth and recreation to historic preservation and animal rights.
